Scott Terry No H8 Sculpture
Painter, Sculptor, Blogger
Scott Terry is an artist who, after the passing of Proposition 8 in California in 2008, created a sculpture depicting the influence of certain organized religions on the Yes on 8 campaign. In the artist’s words the purpose of this piece was, “ to highlight the stupidity of the religious right”. The 4’x4’ piece uses pages torn from the Bible and Book of Mormon, along with Yes On 8 propaganda and yard signs. It has been on display at various equality events around California.
